Victorian Dogs

Home > Victorian Clip Art, Images & Art Prints > Pets > Dogs

Bow-WOW! Victorians loved their dogs, and you'll love them too - from blueblooded pedigreed purebreds to lovable, laughable mutts. Discover the world of the Victorian dog with these images of dogs at home, at work, and at play. This collection has it all, including over 800 images of purebred dogs (see the complete breed list), plus wonderful canine art from such artists as Sir Edwin Landseer and Harrison Weir, along with delightful caricatures by J.A. Shepherd, and the incomparable postcards of Arthur Thiele. It brings you the very rare collection of full-color art prints from Cassell's Book of the Dog - both the 1881 and 1907 editions (49 prints in all). The ephemera collection includes over 390 full-color images of dogs from Victorian scrapbooks, die-cuts, greeting cards, and trade cards (dogs were used to market just about everything!).

All images except for the ephemera collection are fully edited; the ephemera are "lightly edited," with colors restored as much as possible to their original beauty. All are provided at their full, original size - usually at 600 dpi. Order now and let your favorite dogs have their day!

1725 images - Fully Edited/Lightly Edited (Ephemera) - 2.85 GB - $9.99
