It combines two classic fashion magazines: Le Moniteur des Dames et des Demoiselles (1876), a monthly fashion magazine published in Paris, and The Young Ladies' Journal (1882), a weekly published in London. The Moniteur collection includes 19 fabulous full-color prints. The text may be in French, but it's not too difficult to follow!

The Young Ladies' Journal ran from 1864 to 1920. It was a lavishly illustrated weekly magazine targeting the younger middle-class woman. Content focused on fashion and needlework; each issue included a set of highly detailed fashion pages and needlework pages. This collection brings you the entire selection of fashion images from 1882 - almost 400 images in all!
