Victorian Cooking, Dining and Recipes

Despite, one presumes, the presence of "cooks" in so many upper-class Victorian homes, Victorian magazines offered an abundance of recipes and menus. Perhaps some readers simply passed these tips on to their own cooks, but I suspect the editors of such magazines were aware that many readers would be handling such matters themselves.
